A Day in Seattle

On Saturday we headed to Seattle. At the Sheraton, they had a gingerbread house display. This year's theme was a Super Hero Christmas. The gingerbread houses were pretty spectacular. Our favorite was Super Mario. We are big fans of anything Mario, particularly Mario Kart.

The totals of what it took to create all the gingerbread houses are pretty impressive. It makes me want to throw up just looking at all that sugar it took. We then went to Pike Place Market. Although we've gone there so many times, it's always fun to go back.

We had to get the girls with the famous Monk Fish that moves (it is really on a string and the man behind the counter pulls the string).

We sat on the Harbor Steps. I had to walk up the steps twice. What a workout! We then went to the Seattle Art Museum (SAM).

We then did a little shopping until it was dark and drove to Candy Lane to see Christmas lights in a Seattle neighborhood. It was supposed to be a great place, but it was just okay. I've seen more impressive houses. They did however have a carousel that was pretty neat and a lot of lawn ornaments. It was a great day with the family.
