The kids started off with thinking of 16 things they are thankful for and writing them on a paper feather. We then attached them to a turkey's body and decorated it. It was nice to hear the kids say what they are thankful for.

After the kids did their Thankful Turkey's, they made a turkey treat out of Oreo's. They pieced them together and then added candy corn on the top to look like feathers. A Whopper for it's head was on the Oreo frosting and they added small eyes. It looked so cute, and it was delish!

After we made our treats, the kids sat down and listened to 2 Thanksgiving stories. Ideally the kids would have sat down quietly and remained seated, but that didn't happen. What happens when you get 11 kids under the age of 10 together for story time?

You get restless kids who can't sit still, especially after they got to eat their treat. For the most part, the big kids sat and listened, while the ones under 3 years old got up and walked into another room to play with the toys. What more can you expect?

After story time, we ate the previously prepared Pilgrim hats made out of chocolate covered marshmallows, striped cookie and yellow frosting for a buckle. 
They had such a fun night with their cousins. What a great tradition we are starting to make sure the cousins see each other often.
