We took a short trip to Reno for a getaway. We contacted our dear friends, The Moore's, and we hooked up with them. On Friday, we drove to their house and Julie graciously took our kids for the night, so Jeff and I could have a night at the hotel to ourselves. We took advantage of the offer and we dropped the kids off, went to a steakhouse restaurant for dinner at 8:30pm and then went back to the hotel.
The next day, we met The Moore's with our kids at Scheel's. It is a huge outdoor/sporting store. It is so big, there is a Ferris wheel in the middle of it. The kids went on a ride and enjoyed it.

Julie and I thought it would be funny to kiss the moose. (we are actually a couple feet from the moose and Julie and I are just facing each other with pursed lips. We felt very close to each other)

Carter, John, Jeff and Drew raced in the simulation cars. It had hydraulics and all. It felt very real. Jeff did great and got 3rd place!
After lunch at Scheel's, we went back to their community pool and the kids had their last swim of the season. We then had the older kids babysit while we went to have sushi. It was so good and the company was great!
After dinner, we went back to the Moore's home and the guys watched the BYU game. All the while, the kids played with each other very well and played Just Dance on the Wii. After all the fun, we went to the hotel. I carried Drew in because he fell asleep in the car. He woke right up when he saw the casino lights and sounds. He said, "Mom, are those people scrambling?" It took a few moments to understand that he meant, "gambling". Jeff and I had a good laugh.
The next morning, we went to the arcade at the casino. We stumbled upon laser tag. The kids were super excited and they did a good job. We had such a fun time and the kids did really good!
We played some of the arcade games
After all the fun, games and money, the tickets bought the kids a pixie stick, whoopie cushion and an airhead, and a plastic ring. :)
