Day 2 at Disneyland started not a fast as I would have hoped. We got to the park about 8:40am, and didn't realize that on Thursday's the park opens at 9am. So we were standing on Main Street with everyone and their dog. After when I thought the kids couldn't take the waiting anymore, it was 9am and we headed towards Adventureland and New Orleans Square. We got right on Indiana Jones and Pirates. We headed to Splash Mountain to get fast passes, as it was too cold to go on the ride at the moment. We went across the park to Matterhorn and had a great time. We love seeing the Yeti!
After about 2 hours in Disneyland, we went to California Adventure.
The kids and I went on Soarin' over California (one of my favorite rides)
We went on SSS (Silly Symphony Swings)
We went back to Disneyland to have more fun.
We were thinking smarter and took the train to New Orleans Square to go on Splash Mountain. Unfortunately it was closed and back on the train to go to Toon Town.
The kids spent a good 90 minutes here, and we went on Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin.
After all the exploring in Toon Town, we took the train to Space Mountain to use our fast passes. It was going to be our last ride....or so I thought. After we got off the kids had me check my MouseWait app to see if Splash Mountain was open, and of course it was. We got back on the train in Tomorrow land and went back to New Orleans Square. We used our fast passes at Splash Mountain. When we were next in line, the audio broke and we had to wait 25 minutes until it came back on. Thankfully we were in the front and knew what the problem was. The kids were troopers and we waited, had snacks and the kids talked to the employees coming up with suggestion & ideas to get the ride back up and running. After 25 minutes we went on the ride.
Splash Mountain was "supposed" to be our last ride. As we were walking out of the park, the kids asked to go on Pirates one more time. I made a bargain if it was less than 10 minute wait we would go on Pirates. Well, it was 15 minutes. On we go out of the park. We came up on the Jungle Cruise ride and lucky for us it was 10 minutes and the kids begged to go on the ride, so we did. After the ride we were really going home. As we were heading out of the park Drew was constipated and was complaining. We headed straight to the bathroom and 30 minutes later and one nice conversation with the janitor, we left the bathroom. We made a pit stop to get my sister some suckers and we left the park. We were waiting in the tram line when Haley realized she forgot her sweater inside the park at the candy stand. We walked back through security and checked back into the park and found her sweater waiting for her. We went back to the tram and FINALLY headed home.
We met my sister's and their families and Five Guys burgers. It was the first time I'd been there and it was SO good. We took the kids back to my sister's house and the kids winded down for the day and slept like babies. My sister's and I stayed up and we went to the movies. We saw Water for Elephants and we were the only 3 people in the theater. It was kind of nice. It was a long, but fun day.
