The Great Pumpkin Race

This last week Haley & Sydney participated in The Great Pumpkin Race. It was district wide and they ran with their grade and gender. Jeff arrived just in time for Sydney to start her race. She ran 800m (1/2 mile). She wanted to get first place, she pushed herself so hard. She crossed the finish line in 6th place. Way to go Sydney! Sydney tells me that she was so out of breath. Jeff agreed and also added she was a little disoriented. After she drank water, gatorade and ate a cookie, she was a-okay.

Haley started her race in the rear of the pack. She ran 1000 meters. She came around the corner ahead of the pack. She ended up getting 24th place. Yeah Haley!

Both the girls enjoyed it and I am so glad they love to exercise. Way to go girls!
