Muddy stream

This weekend Jeff and I drained our above ground pool for the winter. It was a very nice Saturday and it was the only time we can do it in the next month. Jeff siphoned the water in the pool tubing (which I'm pretty impressed how he did it) and we extended the tubing to go to our river bed. The river bed was the best choice instead of our neighbor's yard. We thought we would be nice neighbors even though we've never met the neighbors behind us. The river bed carried the water down our property, along with mud. The kids thought it was so much fun to play in it they got their bathing suits on. It is amazing that they were wearing bathing suits in the middle of October and no one was shivering. They got all wet and muddy playing in the water.

Because we piped the water down so far from the pool, the water pressure was incredible. The water was draining so fast that the river bed couldn't keep up with the water, and we had to move some of the rocks to damn up the sides so it could flow down the drain and not on our property.
