Lazy at the Lake

Now that we are living in California, I have 3 little fishies who love the water.

We found a new favorite place to spend the hot summer days here while we are awating our pool to be ready for us to swim in. It is a little secret in Cameron Park, but I want everyone around here to know about it. We love to swim at Cameron Park lake. It's more of a swimming lagoon, but the kids love it. We went twice last week, and once so far this week. We love it so much, we can't stay less than 4 hours here, and I'm usually telling the kids we have to leave after 5 hours or so. It is such a long time to be in the sun, but they love it.

Drew is mastering his swimming skills and is feeling more confident. It think it is a combination of swimming so often, the warm water, and it being so shallow, that he knows he can stand up when he needs to get a breath. Even I enjoy swimming in the 85+ degree water, although I try not to think too much of all the pee surrounding me, but thankfully they treat the water and filter it.

Haley loves to swim.

These pictures were from last week, but we went again yesterday for 4 hours. We went home, had dinner, then went back for an evening swim with Jeff for FHE. The kids really enjoyed having Daddy swim with them. He got tired of throwing the kids up into the water, but they kept asking him, and he kept throwing them.
