Haley's Hero

This week, Haley had a homework assignment. She was to think of her "HERO" and write a letter about why she looks up to them, while using at least 3 spelling words. She contemplated people such as her teacher and she finally came up with someone else she didn't mention to me. Below is what she wrote with her spelling words underlined.

"My Mom is my hero. She made a good choice being a nurse. She enjoys helping people. She toils in the hospital."

I was surprised that she chose me. What an honor it is to be someone's hero. That simple note touched my heart immensely. I am so happy she looks up to me and values my choices that I have made.
