Today on New Years Eve, I was trying to tidy up my house before we went to my sister-in-law's home for our NYE celebration. I gave the kids a few chores, one of which was cleaning their room. It is a constant battle and I am having to remind the kids over and over. This day was like no other. I was starting to get frustrated, and I had to remind Sydney once again to "clean her room".
Sydney's response was this: "Mom, Obama said we don't have to clean our room on New Years Eve, so I can't clean my room today".
Sydney's response caught me off guard and thankfully Jeff was in the room to share in the laughter. She is quite creative and always keeps me laughing.
