Ten Years Ago...

Jeff and I were married at the Oakland temple on January 9, 1998. It doesn't seem that long ago we had a blissful day. Ten years ago today, we were in Kauai in a beach house on our honeymoon. It is amazing how fast 10 years can go by. We have been blessed with a wonderful marriage, and I couldn't imagine spending it with anyone else. I am sure the next 10 years will fly by as well. Jeff and I discussed last night that in ten more years, Haley will be 17. Just one year shy of 18, the same age I met Jeff, and one year later married him. Wow, that's just too crazy to think about. It is also amazing how much technology has changed. I had to scan the wedding pictures to post them to my blog. We have them on 35mm film. No digital pictures here! Jeff and I are looking forward to 10 more wonderful and blissful years together.

I think at my brother's wedding reception, that was the first time I had seen your PARENTS since your wedding! You guys look great. I always think aging makes people even MORE beautiful! A collection of funny things the kids say

While watching the State of the Union address by the President, Drew said, "Why are we watching Broccoli Obama?" - January 2010

Drew said, "Mom, there are a lot of bad guys, like monsters, giants and Piers" (Piers is a judge on 'America's Got Talent') - September 2009

Drew asked me, "Mom, can I have some hanitizer?" I asked him what 'hanitizer' is and he pointed to the hand sanitizer. I love his new word! - December 2008

Upon asking Drew his pain scale from 0-10 while he had an ear infection, Drew stated his pain was at an 18. Then he smiled. - December 2008

Drew has been trying to sing Christmas songs, but what comes out is: "Feliz Nabi-Dad, Feliz Nabi-Mom!" and "Oh what fun it is to ride in a hone-for-hunter-say!" -December 2008

Sydney has also been singing songs, especially Abba. One day she sang, "You're so hot, cheese and meat, saw your moves, but I can't take a chance on a chick like you..." - December 2008

Drew wanted to watch a movie and this is what he said to Jeff, "Dad, can I watch Harry Potter PG-13?" I guess we've gone over the fact with him many times that it is PG-13 and he can't watch it. What a funny guy! - October 2008

When Drew stands up to go to the bathroom, he says to Jeff, "Dad, we're boys right?" "Daddy, are you happy?" Yes Drew, we are happy you have good aim. - October 2008

Jeff asked Sydney if she knew she could ride a two-wheeler, Sydney's response was: "I have always known how to ride a bike. Sometimes when I am asleep and I have a bad dream, I wake up at 2am and go into the garage and ride my bike in cirlces." Hmmmm? - August, 2008

At Tom & Marci's wedding luncheon, Drew touched his Aunt Courtney's elbow and asked her, "Is that your boobs?" I was apalled he would say that, but all the adults thought it was the cutest thing ever. I'll have to think about that. - July 2008

As I was in the kitchen getting dinner started, Drew walks in and says, "What's for dinner honey?" Everyone in the house heard and we all busted up laughing...including Drew. 5/25/08

After putting on big boy underwear, I showed Drew the "secret hole" little boys underwear has. Upon this discovery,
Drew says: "Mommy, mommy, close your eyes." I closed them.

Drew: "Okay, Mommy, open your eyes"

I opened my eyes, knowing exactly what would happen...and it did. He pulled out his "thingy" through the secret hole and surprised me with quite a sight. I couldn't stop laughing!!!

Dad: What's the P-word?

Drew: I want to watch you play Super Paper Mario Paper...Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Mom: Where did you learn rock, paper, scissors?
Drew: From preschool!
