The Traveling Gingerbread Man

We received the traveling Gingerbread Man in the mail from a sweet girl we taught in Nursery at church back in Washington.  We took the Gingerbread Man to a historical site nearby our home.  We went to Sutter's Fort in Coloma, CA where gold was first discovered.  We just happened to show up on the day of the 149th anniversary of the discovery of gold.  There were a lot of history enthusiasts dressed up in period attire.  It was fun for the kids to explain what the traveling Gingerbread Man was all about...but most of the people there already knew about the Gingerbread Man.  The kids had fun all over Coloma with the Gingerbread Man.
